NORWICH CASTLE MUSEUM:
HIGHLIGHTING TIBET

3D SCAN ARCHIVE COMING SOON...

The work is a collaboration with the Norfolk Regimental Collection at the Norwich Castle Museum featuring 3D scans of their Tibetan collection. It aims to increase the digital accessibility of the collection to audiences outside Norwich, reconnecting cultural bridges between communities, objects, and the viewer through alternative display and education. It is a response to the argument against repatriation where the loss of objects and culture is synonymous, however, the work shows objects can exist in a multi-faceted way that is accessible to a multitude of audiences. Through 3D scans of the collection and other archival material, the project aims to act as a 'third place' for communities to explore and reconnect with their culture outside of the accessibility barriers of the physical institution. By initiating conversations and connections between the institution, communities, and audiences, my work with collections aims to further the decolonisation of the gallery space.
